The Danger of Not Standing on the Promises of God

A fatherless, an ordinary official was chosen as a king over ten tribes of Israel. The LORD God Himself promised to Jeroboam. The Lord would like to build him a dynasty as enduring as the one He built for David and would give Israel to him. Even He would humble David's descendants because of this, but not forever. It was a great honor and grace, what a perfect promised blessing that Jeroboam got from the Lord! "However, as for you, I will take you, and you will rule over all that your heart desires; you will be king over Israel. If you do whatever I command you and walk in my ways and do what is right in my eyes by keeping my statutes and commands, as David my servant did, I will be with you. I will build you a dynasty as enduring as the one I built for David and will give Israel to you. I will humble David's descendants because of this, but not forever." (1 Kings 11:37-39) Although the Lord had fulfilled His promises when Israel made him king over all Israe...

The Mouk Tribe

We were studying Acts 2 last night when our LIFE Group leader showed us this video about how the gospel being shared to the Mouk Tribe of Papua New Guinea. See the ending and capture a picture of what Jerusalem might have look like on Pentecost day, when 3000 people accepted Christ.

It is by grace you have been saved

This past week I have been spending many hours with Jen to reach out people in Supermal Karawaci and around. If you want to read my first experience, you can click here. Yesterday we reached two girls at foodcourt. They are students at UPH. We never met them before but since they are also students like us, the conversation was getting easy.

1st Reach Out

Temen-temen di SMP Team lagi dapet tugas untuk evangelist people in public places. Kemaren tuh harusnya si Jen reach out people di mall Puri Indah, tapi batal karena aku minta dia temenin jalan bareng ke SMS. Hehe.. Singkat cerita, siang ini aku nemenin dia reach out. What is reach out?

So sad, I cannot join the Student Mission Project (SMP) because of my internship to Batam on this July. Therefore, I am out from the team. It does not mean that God was playing with me when He called me to take a step of obedience by joined this mission project. Once He called me to be on this mission, I believe He meant it. I believe that He wanted me to be on the Student Missions Project but not as I thought before. I thought I would go to Lampung or Papua, but God had something else in His mind.

Batam, I'm Coming!

Akhirnya kemaren siang agak sorean gitu, keluarlah pengumuman praktikum ketigaku. Setelah penantian panjang akhirnya aku ditempatkan di.....

1st Positive Reinforcement for SMP Team

Sabtu sore lalu jam 4, adalah meeting ke 2 bagi SMP (Student Mission Project) team. Sebelum membahas materi meeting, Ps. Andrew mengabsen kami satu per satu dan mengecek berapa lama kami terlambat. Ia mencatat semua keterlambatan dan menjumlahkannya menjadi 51 menit. Untuk 51 menit itu, semua orang dalam tim, baik yang telat maupun yang on time, harus push up 51 kali. Setelah semuanya push up 51 kali, dateng lagi 2 orang lain yang telat. Jadi sekalipun kelihatannya seperti hukuman, tapi sebenarnya push up tadi bagus untuk melatih ketahanan fisik kami. Lagipula nan...

Discernment & Street Reality by Trisha Ramos

No doubt you have been to the zoo, or some place like it, and seen a pack of wolves. In that setting they look and act much like our sweet and friendly pet dogs at home. So, it can be somewhat hard to believe that if we were to step over the protective barrier separating us from them, that they would want to kill us. Their desire to kill us would not be obvious at first because they would not immediately lunge at us; instead they would carefully eye us, then slowly get up and begin circling us. In an instant, they would go from reminding us of our beloved pet, to reminding us of the reason for the protective barrier.

Trust and Obey

Sekitar 3 minggu lalu aku sempat posting mengenai  God's Heart for Nations  dan menyinggung mengenai Student Missions Project. Yah... mungkin kapan-kapan, katakanlah tahun depan.

God's Heart For Nations
