A fatherless, an ordinary official was chosen as a king over ten tribes of Israel. The LORD God Himself promised to Jeroboam. The Lord would like to build him a dynasty as enduring as the one He built for David and would give Israel to him. Even He would humble David's descendants because of this, but not forever. It was a great honor and grace, what a perfect promised blessing that Jeroboam got from the Lord! "However, as for you, I will take you, and you will rule over all that your heart desires; you will be king over Israel. If you do whatever I command you and walk in my ways and do what is right in my eyes by keeping my statutes and commands, as David my servant did, I will be with you. I will build you a dynasty as enduring as the one I built for David and will give Israel to you. I will humble David's descendants because of this, but not forever." Few days ago, I read a story of King Rehoboam in the book of 2 Chronicles. Usually, King Rehoboam is not interesting for me, but this time I found something important that Christians usually forget.

Sejak zaman dahulu kala, manusia suka bertanya-tanya mengenai hari esok. Kita selalu ingin tahu apa yang kira-kira akan terjadi besok dan bagaimana kita akan menghadapinya. Kita selalu penasaran apakah keberhasilan dan kebahagiaan menunggu di hari esok? Seperti apakah keberhasilan dan kebahagiaan yang kelak kita peroleh?

Note: I wrote this post to other single ladies who struggle to keep their heart focus on their Heavenly Husband while they are waiting for the ones God has prepared. One thing that I struggle so much as I become an adult is relationship with man. I know for sure that now is not the right time for me to get into a courtship. It does not mean I have not experience it before. I have experienced and failed. I don't want to experience it again. Instead, I wan to focus my heart and mind to Jesus Christ. I must let Christ be my everything, my center of life first. I have to set the boundaries so that I might not involve in any love-relationship until God Himself brings me to my Adam. But, to guard my heart is quite hard.

My tears dropped as I read this article . Somehow I remember Romans 8:38-39 that God had put it into my heart for these past two years. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate me from the love of God. And there is no condemnation for those believe in Christ.

This morning I read Isaiah 14-18 and found that God really rebuking me through Isaiah 17:10-11.   10 You have forgotten God your Savior;    you have not remembered the Rock, your fortress. Therefore, though you set out the finest plants    and plant imported vines, 11 though on the day you set them out, you make them grow,    and on the morning when you plant them, you bring them to bud, yet the harvest will be as nothing    in the day of disease and incurable pain.
