When The Lion Roars

I am reading a book titled "Self Talk, Soul Talk". I borrowed this book from The Johannes Oentoro Library. This book tells us about how to talk to our self truthfully, according to what Bible says. I found an interesting part in chapter five. Remember 1 Peter 5:8? It says, "Be careful! Be alert. Watch out. Stay awake. A roaring lion is out there, and it's stalking you and seeking to destroy you."

When The Lion Roars

When the lion roars, "You are such a loser,"
say to your soul, "In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."

When the lion roars, "You can't pull this off, you're too weak,"
say to your soul, "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired and weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD  will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

When the lion roars, "You are abondoned. No one is on your team,"
say to your soul, "If God is for us, who can ever be againts us? Since GOd did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won't God, who gave us Christ, also give us everything else?"

When the lion roars, "You are alone,"
say to your soul, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?"

When the lion roars, "You've really blown it; God can't still love you,"
say to your soul, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angles nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

When the lion roars, "Nobody cares about you,"
say to your soul, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles."

When the lion roars, "God doesn't really hear you when you pray,"
say to your soul, "The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them."

When the lion roars, "You have no value or purpose,"
say to your soul, "But now, this is what the LORD says...'Fear not, I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine'."

When the lion roars, "This problem is unfixable,"
say to your soul,"O Sovereign LORD! You have made the heavens and earth by your great power. Nothing is too hard for you!"

When the lion roars, "You really should panic,"
say to your soul, "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."

When the lion roars, "You can't count in anything or anyone,"
say to your soul, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be withe me that you also may be where I am."

When the lion roars, "You will never find peace,"
say to your soul, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let you hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

When the lion roars, "You have no willpower,"
say to your soul, "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline."

Let us be aware of the roaring lion. Talk to youself the biblically truth and remind your soul that Holy Spirit who lives within you is greater than any other spirit!
